This quite possibly could be the future of gaming consoles. Meet the upcoming ‘On Live‘ device set to launch in the winter of 2009. The On Live gaming system takes gaming to a whole new level, by allowing users to play video games which are  streamed online. This new concept would elminate ever having to buy new video games or new controllers for every system upgrade  because all of the games are dealt online. The only downer that could come of this new invention is from having a bad internet connection.  In order for the games to run smoothly, make sure you have a connection of 2 mbps or greater.

Costs have not yet been determined but they are expected to be less than $250 for the console and have a tiered monthly pricing scale. This new method sounds like having a subscription to GameFly, without having to wait for games to come in the mail. On Live sounds promising and should do well for a release in winter, just in time for Christmas.

It’s gonna be big! Might even surpass the fierce competition going on between nintendo, play station, and xbox.

Interesting article. Were did you got all the information from… :)

Wow. This looks brilliant. My connection a maxed out at four, so even with my mediocre service I could run this smoothly, theoretically. What company have developed it? ie what games are going to be available on it?

Really insightful post. I enjoyed reading it and will come by again to see any new articles you have published. How often do you try to refresh your webpage?
