I disagree with the premise that accidents will increase. Imagine if you had 3 dimensions to avoid a crash instead of two. Also with GPS tracking that the FFA is trying to implement, knowing where you and others are precisely wont be a problem at all. Like a automobile you will have to learn how to drive/fly it, and like an auto, you must follow the rules of the road/airways, so I dont see any main issues, other than installing a personal parachute/ or perhaps an inflatable system like they used for mars landers, incase of accidents.

Thats crazy! You never really know what is going on behind government doors. If this is something that we know about, they probably have other flying suits or something similar that are completely top secret.
