Apparently Motorola is spending money on research that would allow a cell phone to act as a mini projector, making a breakthrough advance in the business world. Businesses would love to be able to carry around slide shows on their cell phones and not have to lug around a big, huge projector. Motorola has been working on a protege since 2007 (almost 2 years), so that means one of two thing. One, they have given up on this technological advancement, or two, that they are close to releasing it. Hopefully it is option number two.
My ideal cell phone would have the following: 3-way calling, TV/radio compatible, MP3/4 capable, memory card slot, phone as a modem (PAM), built-in projector, laser pointer, blue tooth, and lots of apps. Wonder how long until such a phone exists…
Call it the Transition, one of the first modern cars with flying capabilities. Taking only 30 seconds to transform from car to airplane, the Transition can fly at up to speeds of 115 mph. Not bad for a car. Some of the specs included are these: it burns 5 gallons of gasoline per hour, the car holds a total of 20 gallons, and gets up to 30 mpg on the freeway – 15 more than my SUV! (For a full list of the specs click “here“)
Now onto the bigger question: how much does it (or will it) cost? Estimates have been set at approximately $194,000 and the release date is set for 2010. Kind of exciting to see, especially since there’s hope the price will drop in years to come as competition arises.
Having been an Oakley fan all of my life, I never foresaw these kind of shades coming, made with a built-in MP3 player. There are several models and styles to choose from and the storage capacity seems to range from 1/2 GB to 2 GB. As you can see in the photo, there are buttons on the sides of the shades which allow for the controls. Also on the side of the glasses is where the headphones would connect, so no more need for that annoying cord that always ends up in tangles.
I was going to suggest that they make a pair that was blue-tooth capable, but they are already ahead of the game and make such a pair. I know what I want for my birthday this year.
Since this picture is super-cool, I decided to make it extra large. This bad boy is called the MP7A1 and is an upgraded version of the MP5. What’s the upgrade you might ask? First of all, consider this: the MP5 only can use bullets with the same strength of a 9 mm pistol, not quite enough to stop an enemy wearing a helmet or body armor. So instead of having to haul around a larger assault rifle, the MP7 allows its mobility for close combat, and packs the same amount of heat as an assault rifle, which can easily penetrate body armor. This modern upgrade of a machine gun will allow for enhanced protection, especially those protecting people such as government officials and such. To learn more about this new and unique weapon, watch a short video from the Discovery channel, which goes more in depth on the specs and capabilities. Click ‘Here‘.
Developed in the United Kingdom, the Wasp knife packs a punch greater than any other knife on the planet. This innovative little knife basically explodes inside the victim, destroying vital organs and causing a deadly blow. This knife was developed for self-defense against predators of greater size, such as sharks and bears. Yes, this knife can be used in both environments, and was originally intended to serve as protection for divers.
How does it work? Quite simply, to be honest. Attached to the handle of the knife lies a CO2 cartridge, which can be released by pressing a small button on the knife. All you have to do is thrust the knife into something and press the little button and KABOOMY. To see the Wasp knife in action, click here. This deadly toy will run you about $3-400, so it’s really only for people who tangle with mother nature.
So there you have them. Feel free to comment and suggest any bands you think I might like. If you are into rock/alternative, I suggest you lend these songs an ear.
As technological advances excel by the minute, we get a deeper look into what may used in future wars regarding weaponry. This electromagnetic gun is an example of what may be used in a few years time. Currently, the U.S. Navy has been testing an electromagnetic railgun that can project a 7 pound object at up to 7 times the speed of sound (faster than olympian Usain Bolt!). With such an invention, it would be possible to shoot up heavily armored tanks and planes from miles away. Although no one really knows when such weaponry will be ready for use, one can only assume such a thing will be ready in a matter of years.
That’s right, for $130,000 you can purchase your very own water-powered jet pack called the Jetlev, and that even includes lessons on how to use it. Supposedly, the jet pack is quite simple to use and takes you up to 50 feet, as well as speeds up to 50 mph. How exactly does it work? Let’s take a look.
As you can see in the picture, attached to the jet pack is a long, yellow tube, measuring around 150 feet. This tube connects to a little boat, which has a small engine that puts out over 100 horsepower, blowing the water out of the jet pack’s two sides and propelling the person into the air. What makes this jet pack successful is that all of the fuel it uses isn’t stored inside the device, which normally would cause a jet pack to last a matter of minutes due to excessive weight. Not much more is known about the Jetlev, other than the fact that it was designed by a team of Germans. Click here to watch the video of the Jetlev in action.
Most of us have all been to Vegas at some point in our lives and many of us have felt our heart sink as we watched some of our hard-earned money disappear at the tables. That’s just how gambling goes, hence the word ‘gamble’. As many people have wondered, is there any easy & secure way to win? The answer, unfortunately, is no. There are, however, ways to increase your chances of winning. Take this method, for example, which can be applied when playing blackjack.
Start out with $300 and find a $5-1000 limit blackjack table.
Start off with a $5 bet. If you win, bet $5 again. if you lose, double up, and throw down $10. Continue doubling down until you win, and then start again with your initial bet of $5.
Repeat process until you have won a fair amount (generally $100-200). Remember, the longer you stay at a casino, the greater chance you have at losing.
Sound too simple? Well, that’s basically all that is required. With $300, you can double down on your initial bet six times, meaning, as long as you don’t lose six hands in a row, you will come out on top. Granted, you are only winning approximately $5 per hand, but you can always change the numbers around and make your initial bet $10 or $15. Just be sure to bring enough money to allow you to double down 5-7 times in a row.
I hope I didn’t get you too excited to head out to the nearest casino, but it’s something to keep in your mind next time you visit one and try your luck.
A new software was released last month by a Utah SEO firm that allows people with little or no SEO background to successfully optimize their websites. What this SEO software does is create simple linkbuilding tasks for users to complete, with step by step instructions. You are also allowed to choose three different keywords that you want to get ranked on in the major search engines (google, yahoo, msn).
What’s so special about it? Well, considering that typical SEO firms can charge anywhere from $500-$5,000 per month for SEO services, this new software cuts down those costs significantly, only costing users $99 for each month of use. This service is great for people who use the internet as a means of generating business, especially for those who sell things online.
Another nice thing about this Lotus Jump software is that it find places where your competitors are getting their links from, and lets you in on that loop. It also can track your progress, and tells you whether you have improved or dropped off in the rankings. I would definitely recommend this software to small business owners and people looking to gain traffic to their website.
